I LOVE sweet potato fries. I order them whenever there is the option at a restaurant. With that said, I wanted to find a way to make them at home that left the fries tasty yet more on the healthier side than your typical restaurant options.
What you need:
- Sweet Potatoes
- Olive Oil
- Seasoned Salt
- Garlic Powder
How you need to do it:
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Cut the ends off of the sweet potatoes. Stand it up and cut the sweet potatoes in half vertically. Then slice them into fries. The thinner the better — I like them more on the crispier side.
Arrange the fries on a couple cookie sheets. If you have multiple baking sheets, it helps to spread them out a bit more. It adds to the cripsiness. Drizzle the fries with olive oil, seasoned salt and paprika.
Cook the fries on the middle rack for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes flip the fries and cook for another 10 minutes. After those 10 minutes, move the fries to the top rack of the oven for the remaining 10 minutes.
I like to eat mine with Chipolte Mayo. Yum. Happy eating!
